7 Winter Activities to Do With Your Pet
It’s finally time for snow, hot cocoa, and nights spent by the fire! We’ve created a list of activities to keep you and your pet entertained all winter long.
1. Take a Snowy Hike
If you and your pet are going stir crazy inside, a beautiful snowy hike could be the perfect remedy! Have fun taking in the sights, playing in the snow, and spending time together. Be sure to bundle up and dress your pet accordingly.
2. Have a Photoshoot
Who said you can’t get all dressed up to stay at home? Plan a photoshoot with your furry friend by getting props and putting on silly costumes. As a bonus, your pictures would make funny stationary – send a note to an old friend!
3. Get Creative
Get rid of any winter blues by making some fun arts & crafts with your furry friend. Paw print art is fun and easy! Get crafty by featuring your pet’s paw print by following a salt dough recipe. All you need is flour, salt, water, and a patient pet. Once you have mixed together the dough, gently place your pet’s paw into it to create a lasting imprint. (Don’t forget to create a hole in the dough so you can use it as an ornament.) After baking your dough in the oven, you will have a beautiful and meaningful homemade ornament.
4. Take a Drive
If you and your pet want to get out of the house, but still want to avoid the cold, try taking a drive. Perhaps stop by your favorite pet store to pick up some toys and Evolve goodies!
5. Have a movie night
There’s nothing cozier than the winter time! Snuggle up with your furry friend and put on a holiday movie for a fun night in.
6. Play in the Snow
Forget playing fetch with a tennis ball, swap it out for a snowball instead! Playing with your pet is a great way to give them the exercise they need, and it will provide you with enough laughs to last until springtime.
7. Learn a New Trick
If you’re spending more time inside to avoid the cold, try teaching your pet a new trick. We can think of some delicious Evolve treats that would be great motivation!
Note: Some pets do not like being dressed in costume. Only try this one out if your pet is comfortable with it!
